Karen

Karen is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist experienced with children, teenagers, individuals,
couples and families. She especially enjoys working with women, couples and families. Karen has
several years of experience and training with family of origin issues, improving couple/marital
relationships, healing trauma, and learning how to better manage your emotions.

"I believe it is essential to take personal responsibility regardless of the issue. Because of this, I
strive to help individuals, couples and families use their strengths to get out of "victim mode" and
change their life!

We all have the answers inside us to find happiness, success and well being. Sometimes we just
need a little guidance getting there. I would be honored to share that journey with you."

Karen attended Colorado College and earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She also has
a teaching certificate from University of Denver and has taught elementary school both in Chicago
and Denver. She earned her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology/Marriage & Family Therapy
from the University of Colorado at Denver and has several hours of post graduate training in work
with trauma, child development, play therapy, attachment/adoption, and couples/family issues.
